Leonard Alexander Nesta Sr.'s Obituary
Leonard Alexander Nesta, Sr., 84, a resident of Fort Myers, FL since 1973 formerly of Newark, NJ passed away March 31, 2020 in Fort Myers, FL. He was born July 2, 1935 in Newark, NJ to the late Alfonso and Laura Nesta.
Leonard worked with his parents when they owned a Gas Station, went on to be a Police Officer and then into construction, building homes and swimming pools and was also doing carpentry work. He enjoyed working doing wood projects and built many many doll houses for family and for friends, some he would sell, mostly would give to the little girls, because he had so much enjoyment building the houses. His earlier years he enjoyed running the stock cars. He always had a work shop and learned how to turn wood and make projects. He was preceded in death by his two grandsons, Richard and Joshua.
He is survived by his loving wife, Margaret Nesta of Fort Myers, FL; three children, Leonard A. Nesta, Jr (Charlotte) of Nixa, MO, Debra Griswold (William) of Newton, NC and Glenn Nesta (Rhonda) of Martinsville, IN; one brother, Nicholas Nesta of Lakeland, FL; 10 grandchildren, Robert (Ashley), Brandon, Bryce, Brianna, Heather (Mark), Lisa (Brian), Ryan (Ashley), Christopher (Allie), Matthew (Christine) and Jenna; as well as all of his adored great grandchildren.
Services are being held privately.
Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home has been entrusted with final arrangements.
