Taylor, Jr. Leroy was born July 14, 1952 in Camden, NJ, the son of Leroy D. and Elsie (Kercher) Taylor Sr. He was a Vietnam veteran of the US Navy. Leroy worked for Bill Smith Appliances as a delivery driver. He enjoyed canoeing, fishing and camping. He loved spending his time in the grandeur of the mountain settings. Surviving are his father Leroy D. Taylor, Sr. and his wife Ann of Marble, NC; daughter, Veena Putman and her husband Bobby of Canton, NC; siblings, Guy W. Taylor and his wife Brenda of Cape Coral, FL, Lawrence Dean Taylor and his wife Glenda of Port St. Lucie, Faye Elaine Vincent and her husband Richard if Jacksboro, TN; grandchildren, Seth Lipe, Carson Putnam; three nephews; 3 nieces, 5 grand-nephews and two grand-nieces. Preceding in death are his Mother and one grandchild, Robert Taylor. Leroy’s heart was as big as they come. He was always the first to ask someone how they were doing – yet unlike many who ask the question with little real interest, Leroy asked because he really cared. Leroy went out of his way to lend a hand to his co-workers, friends and family and he stands as a example to each of us a person who placed others before himself out of the simple desire to be supportive of those he cared for.
