Leslie James Harvey's Obituary
Leslie James Harvey of Naples, Florida passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Saturday, December 25, 2021 following some recent health setbacks. He was 82 years old.
Les was born in Brooklyn, New York on September 30, 1939, the proud son to Antoinette (Piro) and Leslie Edward Harvey. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and for many years was a Police Officer serving with the 1st Unit of the Anti-Crime Division in the Midtown South Precinct of the Police Department for the City of New York. A man of many words and talents, he lived his life to the fullest. He loved building Hot Rods and lived for his family and children. He was married to and leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Lois R. (Garber) Harvey and their children, Les Harvey Jr., Lance Harvey and his wife Jennifer Harvey and daughter Nicole Harvey-Burns and her husband Robert Burns. Also left behind are his treasured grandchildren Presley Hanson, Nicholas Harvey and Katherine Harvey.
Immediate funeral ceremonies are private. Arrangements for Mr. Harvey's final care have been entrusted to Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555.
A Memorial Service for Les will be conducted at 12:00 PM on Friday, January 14, 2022 at St. Charles Cemetery, 2015 Wellwood Avenue, Farmingdale, New York 11735, (631) 249-8700. All are welcome to attend as we celebrate a great life that was lived well.
