Lila Lee Berry's Obituary
Lila Lee Berry of Cape Coral, Florida since August 1992 and formerly of St. Paul, Minnesota passed away peacefully Thursday, April 17, 2025, in Cape Coral. She was 95 years old. Lila was born January 22, 1930, in St. Paul to the late Frederick E. and Anna J. Larson. She was predeceased January 26, 2016, by her beloved husband of 64 years John F. "Jack" Berry also of St. Paul. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin - River Falls. While her husband was in the Navy she worked as a laboratory technician in Waukegan, Ill. After they returned to St. Paul following the Korean War, she raised her children and later worked as an assistant to various medical groups until 1992 when she, Jack and children and grandchildren moved to sunny Southwest Florida. She was a very private lady who was devoted to and loved spending time with her family who lived next door as well as enjoying a good book. She and Jack also liked to take driving excursions of the beautiful locale. She is survived by her two daughters, Lee E. Bouthilette and husband Marc S. and Lynn M. Mahr and husband Nicholas C. as well as two grandsons, Mark A. Stahl and John M. Stahl and his wife Jessica and great grandson Jack and many nieces and nephews. Lila was a kind and gentle lady who will be sorely missed. There will be a private burial ceremony, and Lila will be laid to rest at the Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family would like to express sincere thanks and gratitude to the staff of Gulf Coast Village Palm View for the excellent loving care of our mother.
