Lila's father and my father were brothers. We lived on farms a few miles apart. We visit ed almost weekly. No tv or telephones so we made our own games as children using our imagination. As teenagers we attended local dances and movies with the neighbor families. Lila and I lived together 2 years when we attended high school in Bismarck 30 miles from home. In a tiny little room in a home where we made our own meals on a two burner gas plate, slept on a fold up bed we shared across the street from the high school. No cars so we walked every where. We got along very well. I loved Lila, we corresponded through the years. She was a special cousin. Olive
