Lillian Marie Schmiedeknecht's Obituary
Lillian Marie Schmiedeknecht of Fort Myers, Florida passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 3, 2019 while under Hospice care following some recent health challenges. She was 99 years old.Lillian was born on February 22, 1920 in Chicago, Illinois, the beautiful daughter to Dora (Surblis) and Antony Drasites. She was employed for many years at an advertising agency where she worked as a bookkeeper. She was the loving wife to Norman Schmiedeknecht who sadly preceded her in death in 2008. She was the loving mother to son James N. Schmiedeknecht (Margaret) whom she leaves to cherish her memory. Lillian also leaves behind a number of extended family members and a great many more people she was proud to meed along life’s pathway. She will be warmly remembered and fondly missed by everybody she knew.A Funeral Service for Lillian will be celebrated by Deacon Richard Klish at 11:30 am on Thursday, October 10, 2019 inside the Chapel at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555. Friends will be received for an hour and a half preceding this ceremony for Visitation, also inside the funeral home chapel.
