Linda A Alexander's Obituary
Linda Ann Alexander, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away surrounded by the love of her family. Born in Bayonne, New Jersey, Linda was the cherished daughter of John and Pascalina “Lena” (Santacroce) DeLuca.
Raised in Avenel, New Jersey, Linda graduated from Woodbridge High School with the Class of 1967. During her high school years, she met Ray Alexander. Their enduring story began as teenagers and continue while Ray proudly served two years in the United States Army. The couple married during his military service, beginning a partnership built on devotion to hard work and family.
Linda dedicated 30 years of service as the Tax Collector for Manchester Township, where she earned the respect and admiration of colleagues and residents alike through her professionalism, reliability, and remarkable work ethic. She was known for her commitment to doing every job well and for always putting others before herself.
Outside of work, Linda found joy in sewing and creating with her hands, a hobby that reflected her patience, creativity and attention to detail. Before retiring full-time to Fort Myers, Florida, in 2003, she and Ray enjoyed spending time as snowbirds, escaping the cold northern winters. In Florida, Linda embraced an active lifestyle that included golfing and enjoying the sunshine.
More than any pastime or accomplishment, Linda’s greatest joy was her family. Her world revolved around her beloved grandson, Riley, whose life she enriched with endless love, encouragement, and pride. Whether attending his activities, sharing special moments, or simply spending time together, being Riley’s grandmother was one of her most treasured roles.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, John and Pascalina “Lena” DeLuca.
She is lovingly survived by her husband, Raymond Alexander Sr.; her son, Raymond Alexander Jr.; her grandson, Riley; Riley’s mother, Lisa; her sisters, Barbara (Al), Marie, and Karen; her brother, Jerome (Donna), many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends she had made throughout her life.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Ariel Building Taeping Room in The Landing Yacht, Golf and Tennis Court, located at 5260 South Landing Drive, Fort Myers, Florida, on July 25,2026 from 12:30 pm until 4:00 pm.
