Linda Kae Avant's Obituary
Springville, Utah -- Linda Kae Avant, age 63, passed away on March 10, 2024, from complications associated with Huntington’s Disease. Linda was born on June 7, 1960, at Fort Monmouth, New Jersey but grew up in Florida. She was the beloved daughter of Leslie Eugene Avant and Virginia Ross Snyder.
Linda graduated from Fort Myers High School in 1978 and later began her career in Human Resources Management where she held various positions in telecommunications and other service industries. Linda was a talented professional and her career grew as she relocated to Texas, Indiana, Utah and California. She was a pleasure to work with and gained many wonderful friendships. She also mentored and shared her knowledge with others.
Because of her Florida years, Linda loved the water and was at home on her boat. She loved to share that passion by inviting her friends out for a day on the lake. She was a certified scuba diver and was brave enough to teach kids some lessons in the swimming pool. She was extraordinarily comfortable in all water sports.
Linda waa a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She gained an unyielding testimony of her Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. She showed great love and compassion for those around her. She was always willing to give a helping hand and was generous with her resources to help others.
Linda was preceded in death by her father, Leslie Eugene Avant and her brother, Keith Eugene Avant. She is survived by her mother Virginia Avant and many other family and friends who loved her deeply.
Her family and friends would like to express their appreciation to the staff at The Ashford in Springville and Bristol Hospice (especially Julianna) for providing loving care and concern for her needs and for bringing her peace and comfort in her final years.
A Remembrance of Linda’s life will be held on April 20, 2024 at 11am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints located at 1149 N 300 W, Lehi, Utah.
Inurnment will be at the Fort Myers Memorial Gardens in Fort Myers, Florida.
