Linda M Wilhelm's Obituary
Linda M. Wilhelm, 83, of Ft. Myers, Florida, passed away on March 7, 2026. She was born May 18, 1942, in Red Bay, Alabama. She was a member of The Village Church at Shell Point Retirement Community, a community where she lived with her husband for over fifteen years.
She is survived by her husband of twenty-nine years, Thomas L. Wilhelm, her son Richard Moore, granddaughter Leah Kelly, great-granddaughter, Caroline Jo Kelly Stephens, grandson, Patrick Kelly, great-grandson, Kaden Kelly, sister Norma Maupin Fennel, and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by three stepchildren, Scott Wilhelm (Monica), Laura Klee and Wendy Zook (Randy) and six step-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Early and Evelyn Cox Maupin, son Frederick Wallace ‘Wally’ Moore, Jr., daughter Carolyn Joe Moore Kelly, and siblings Richard Eugene Maupin, Frankie Maupin, Dennis Maupin, Vicky Sue Ashley, Edward Keith Maupin and Jackie Maupin.
She earned an associate degree in business, and prior to her retirement in 2005, worked as a business owner and operator in nutrition management. Throughout her life she found great joy in spending time with her family, her friends and neighbors at Shell Point, traveling, reading, playing cards and games, and contributing to her community. She will be deeply missed by all her family and friends.
