Lois J. Grimsley's Obituary
Lois J. Grimsley of Cape Coral, Florida, passed away Saturday, July 9, 2016 after some recent health Challenges. She was 82. Lois was born December 05, 1933 in Detroit, Michigan, the beautiful daughter of the late Lewis and Lela Schlener. She lived 53+ years in Florida where she worked as a waitress. She worked at The Lob Lolly, The Clock and Jimbo’s Restaurants in Cape Coral until her retirement. She was a beloved wife, devoted mother, dear sister, loving grandmother and great grandmother who will be sorely missed by many. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William M. Grimsley (2004), a sister, Jean Reddick and two brothers, Lewis Schlener, Jr. and David Blackburn. Lois is survived by her daughter, Linda L. Patterson and her husband Gerald of Cape Coral, Florida; son, Carl E. Frazier of North Fort Myers, Florida; sisters, Hilda Laichalk and Shirley Scott and her brother, James Schlener. She is also survived by three grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Visitation will be held 6:30pm – 7:00pm, with Funeral Services at 7:00pm, Thursday, July 14, 2016 in the chapel of Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, FL 33907. She will be laid to rest next to her husband, William, in the Veteran’s Garden Section of Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Fort Myers, FL.
