I would also like to offer my condolences to the family of Mrs. Hitchcock. I have fond memories of her as my teacher. Being a teacher in a one room school could not have been an easy venture but she persevered for some years in that role. As Susan Frye mentioned she and I were students of hers in 1957, but I had the good fortune to have been with her for kindergarten also in 1956 when eight grades were still together in one room. There were just two of us in kindergarten. She was a kind lady. I recall my Mom receiving a birthday card from her on my mom’s 95th birthday about 8 years ago although my mom had not seen her in decades. May you find comfort in all the good memories that you have of her, too. Doris(Rock)Lawler
