Lori Neff's Obituary
Lori Neff, 65, of Naples, FL, passed away Thursday, April 26, 2018 peacefully surrounded by family. She was born November 9, 1952 in Philadelphia, PA, the daughter of Patrick Joseph and Audrey (Stone) Huggard. Lori was employed at Florida Community Bank where she was an integral part of creating the mortgage department. She began working there in 2013 as a vice-president and senior underwriter. This led to her becoming a credit and compliance officer, Senior Vice-President of Director of Mortgage Products and finally Senior Vice-President and Mortgage Executive. She was a great leader, mentor, teacher and friend.Lori moved to Florida from Valley Forge, PA in 1995. Lori loved animals and she and her husband, Wayne were Golden Members of the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary.Lori is survived by her husband of 38 years, Wayne T. Neff; her children: Wayne T. Neff, Jr. of Chicago, IL, Scott Neff (Debbie) of Naples and Kimberly D. Evans of Pflugerville TX; her grandchildren: Joshua, Olivia, Dylan Thomas, Lily, Chloe, Dylan and Max; her siblings: Brenda Lemon (Bill) of Collegeville, PA, John Huggard (Theresa) of Philadelphia, PA and Mary Ellen Smith (Ronnie) of Fredericksburg, VA and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Bridgette Tomlin Neff in 2015 and her sister, Patty Fiendt in 1979.A celebration of Lori’s life will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, May 5 in the chapel of Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, with a reception to follow in the Family Center on the grounds of Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary (www.bestfriends.org) or Shriners Children’s Hospital (www.shrinershospitalsforchildren.org/shc)To share a memory or express condolences to the family, please visit Lori’s memorial webpage at: www.fortmyersmemorial.com
