Chief Louis Palmer Nadreau's Obituary
Chief Louis P. Nadreau (retired) formerly of New Hampshire and currently residing in Fort Myers, Florida, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2020 in Cape Coral, Florida. He was 69 years old.
Chief Nadreau was born on July 23, 1950 in Nashua, New Hampshire, the proud son to Louise Palmer Daniels and Clifford Nadreau. He was preceded in death by both parents and half-brothers Ronald and Richard Nadreau and a half-sister, Beatrice Brewster.
He was a graduate of Nashua High School and continued his education at the New Hampshire Police Standards and Training Academy.
He worked in management for Child World for several years and later worked for the Towns of Amherst, NH and Brookline, NH as a patrolman and was promoted through the ranks to later become Chief of Police in Brookline, a job he truly loved.
After relocating to Florida, he became licensed as a title agent and worked for Southern States Abstract and Title in North Fort Myers and later worked in loss prevention for Chico's F.A.S. in Fort Myers.
Chief Nadreau was a lifetime member of the New Hampshire Chiefs of Police Association, The Knights of Columbus and was a Sacristan serving Saint Francis Xavier Church in Fort Myers where he was an active member.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Sandra (Lajoie) Nadreau, of Fort Myers; two half-sisters Mrs. Ben (Dorothy) Ramos of Berwick, Maine and Mrs. Richard (Beverly) Boucher of Nashua, NH; four children, daughter Mrs. Kristi (Nadreau) Rivera and her spouse Willie of Cape Coral, Florida and sons Treva Nadreau of Fort Myers, FL, Seth Nadreau and his spouse Mia (Digiacomo) Nadreau of Cape Coral, FL and Todd Nadreau of Manchester, NH; five grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; a large extended family along with a great many others who were proud to know him. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed.
Funeral Honors will be provided by the Lee County Sheriff's Office who will escort Chief Nadreau to his final place of rest at Memorial Gardens Cemetery for a Graveside Funeral Service celebrated by Fr. Thomas Heck at 10:30 AM on Friday, May 1, 2020. At the conclusion of this service, he will be laid to rest at the Mausoleum located inside the Garden of Serenity.
