Louise Tanis' Obituary
We are sad to announce the death of Louise Tanis, mother, grandmother, wife, sister and friend who passed away October 6, 2022 at age 94. She was the loving wife to Leonard Tanis (deceased) for more than 60 years. She leaves behind her children Len Tanis (Ruth)and Jackie Adams, her sister Virginia Aquino, grandchildren, Paul Tanis(Jen), Brian Tanis, Rob Tanis(Megan), Chelsea Kameny (Josh), Amy Lamb (Chris), Tyler Adams(Kelsie), and great grandchildren, Kaylee, Justin, Lyla, Robbie, Ashley, Ryan, Sadie, Beckett, Leo, Dean and Cypress.
Louise was born and raised in New Jersey. She moved to Florida in 1983 where she spent the remainder of her life. She enjoyed playing tennis, cooking, eating oysters, playing piano ,making homemade pasta, reading and celebrating with family and friends. Louise was a very active participant in her community and enjoyed being involved in many projects. She was full of life, a strong independent woman of her time. Louise will be missed but never forgotten. Her memories and recipes will live on with all the people who loved her.
A Memorial service will be held at a later date to celebrate her life. In honor of Louise, the family requests donations in her memory be made to the hurricane Ian relief fund athttps://www.volunteerflorida.org/
