Louise E. Wheeler's Obituary
Louise E. Wheeler, 79, a lifelong Florida resident, died Tuesday, August 17, 2021, in Fort Myers. She was born October 2, 1941, in St. Petersburg to the late Vernon and Irene Eckert. Louise attended the University of Florida. She kept books for the family business, loved to sew and cook, and read avidly. She was a committed Catholic, a devoted mother, a smart, strong, determined, and caring lady.
Louise was preceded in death by her sons, Peter Wheeler and Stephen Wheeler (a seminarian at the time). She is survived by her two loving children, Timothy Wheeler and his wife, Kim, Fort Myers, and Kimberly Curley and her husband, Michael, Wichita Falls, Texas; three sisters, Rosella Sunnucks and her husband, Marc, Laura Howry and her husband, Bruce, and Rita Hess; two brothers, James Eckert and Daniel Eckert and his wife, Gini; and three adored grandchildren, Justynne Wheeler, Jordan Atchison and her husband, Evan, and Neal Wheeler.
A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, October 9, 2021, at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, 1800 12th St. N. St. Petersburg, FL, 33704.
