Loyce F. Cochran's Obituary
Loyce Floyd Cochran, 77 of Fort Myers, Florida passed away on February 12, 2014. She was born on August 16, 1936 in Plant City, Florida. Loyce was a beloved wife to Jimmie Cochran for 57 years. She is also survived by her daughter, Terrilynn (Larry) Dunford, son, Darius (Amanda) Cochran, four grandsons, Lance (Lauren) Dunford, Miles Dunford, Nathan Cochran, Dylan Cochran, sister, Laverne Eby, brother, Robert Floyd and many nieces, nephews and cousins. A graduate of Fort Myers High, she was voted most witty her senior year. She loved traveling with her husband, including numerous trips overseas. Loyce enjoyed volunteer work including guardian ad litem, the literacy program at Edgewood Elementary School, and countless hours serving her church. One of Jim and Loyce’s most important ministries was visiting those who were sick, homebound or mourning the loss of a loved one. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandsons. They were the light of her life. Loyce’s relationship with Jesus Christ was central to who she was. She was preceded in death by her parents, Riley and Matilda Floyd, sister, Margaret Fulton, brother, J.R . Floyd, and niece, Pamela Eby. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at 2:30 pm at the Fort Myers Seventh-day Adventist Church located at 3451 Ortiz Avenue, Fort Myers, Florida 33905. There will be a private interment at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Fort Myers Seventh-day Adventist Church for the Family Life Center.
