Lucille Visciotti's Obituary
Lucille Visciotti, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and devotion.
Born in Keene, New Hampshire, in 1937, Lucille was one of eleven children and spent her formative years on the family farm. Her early life was marked by resilience and adaptability, as her family moved frequently throughout upstate New York. Lucille moved with her family to St. Petersburg, Florida in 1954.
On December 16, 1962, Lucille married Luigi Visciotti, an Italian tailor whose skill and dedication matched her own steadfast spirit. Together, they built a beautiful life and welcomed three children: Amina, Gina, and Luigi Jr. The family eventually settled in Fort Myers, Florida, where Lucille and Luigi owned and operated Luigi’s Tailoring on Cleveland Avenue — a cherished local business known for excellent tailoring and personal care where Lucille was a seamstress.
Lucille was a devout Catholic with an unwavering faith that guided every aspect of her life. She was an active member of the Church of the Resurrection of Our Lord in Fort Myers, Florida, where she volunteered tirelessly both in the parish and the church office. Her faith continued to flourish when she and Luigi moved to Melbourne, Florida in 2019 to live with their eldest daughter, Amina. There, they became dedicated members of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Viera.
A loving and attentive wife, Lucille was married to Luigi for 62 joyful years. She was a nurturing mother who raised her children with compassion and wisdom, and a doting grandmother and great-grandmother who adored every moment spent with her family. She had a gift for bringing warmth, joy, and encouragement to those around her.
Lucille found happiness in simple pleasures: she loved coloring, playing cards, teaching her grandkids to fish, and working on puzzles, always brightening the lives of those who shared in these moments. Lucille spent many hours crocheting blankets for family and friends. Lucille was renowned for her homemade spaghetti and lasagna that she made with her special sauce and meatballs.
Lucille is preceded in death by her father, Antoine LaPorte and mother, Marie Jeanne Segerlind; sisters, Eva LaPorte, Theresa Turley, Cecile Parillo and Sally Kreuczunas; brothers, Leo LaPorte, Joseph LaPorte, Andre LaPorte and Phillip LaPorte.
Lucille is survived by her devoted husband, Luigi; her children and their spouses, Amina & Gerry Batista, Gina & Ray Antalick, and Luigi & Deana Visciotti; her grandchildren, Michael & Laura Batista, Robert Batista, Anthony & Brittany Visciotti, Christina Visciotti, and Samantha Visciotti; and her great-grandson, Greyson Visciotti.
