Luigina "Jean" Schiliro's Obituary
Luigina Schiliro, better known simply as "Jean" to her family and friends, a longtime resident of Fort Myers, Florida, passed away peacefully in Boulder, CO surrounded by her family, on Saturday, January 16, 2021 following some recent health challenges. Jean was 92 years old. Jean was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY to Michael and Carmela Farinola, and raised her family with her loving husband Joe in Baldwin, NY.
Jean brought joy to everyone she met and seemed to instantly forge a special relationship with everyone. Her love language was food. If Jean was around, everyone ate well. She adored her family. She is survived by Joseph (Susan), Philip (Jody), Susan (Sylvain), and Michael (Lori), and especially her ten adoring grandchildren. Jean is also survived by her sister Josephine Martinson and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Jean was pre-deceased by her husband Joseph in 2005. Her cherished companion subsequently has been Donald J. O’Brien, who both found loving companionship for many years together.
