Luis F. Rodriguez's Obituary
Luis F. Rodriguez, 93, of Cape Coral, passed away Monday, August 21, 2023. He was born August 25, 1929 in Camajuani, Las Villas, Cuba to Domingo Rodriguez and Maria De Las Casas Hernandez Pascuala. He moved to Cape Coral from San Antonio, Texas in 1996. He graduated from the Riverside Military Academy in 1950. When living in Cuba, he piloted a J-3 Cub plane and was one of the first to fly solo across Cuba at that time. He retired from Ford Motor Company, Tractor Division following 37 years of service. He enjoyed restoring cars and was a member of the Antique Automobile Association.
Mr. Rodriguez is survived by his wife of 62 years, June E. Rodriguez; his children: Vivian Crenshaw, Mary Lynn McDaniels, Phyllis Eloch and Luis R. Rodriguez; his grandchildren: Teresa, Michael, Mark, Cody, Brittany, Thomas, Aaron, April, Jimmy and Drew as well as many great grandchildren. Also surviving are his siblings: Mary Siverio and Raul Rodriguez. He was preceded in death by his son, Gregory Rodriguez and siblings: Horacio Rodriguez, Generosa Sarda and Laura Oria.
