Lynn Marie Lewis' Obituary
Lynn Marie Raymond Lewis of Fort Myers, Florida passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Saturday, May 6, 2023 following some recent health challenges. She was 82 years old.
Lynn was born in the Panama Canal Zone on September 21, 1940 and was the beautiful daughter to Margaret (Perry) and Harry David Raymond who were working there for the Panama Canal Company and United States Southern Command. After high school, Lynn attended Florida State University in Tallahassee and earned a Bachelor of Science in Business. However, her true passion was always dancing and being a dance instructor. After graduation, she moved to Atlanta, Georgia and worked in international banking while her husband attended dental school.
Lynn was the loving wife to her cherished husband Dr. Parke R. Lewis Jr. and the happy couple resided in Fort Myers for the entirety of their marriage. Upon moving to Fort Myers, Lynn focused on raising her four sons and continued to teach dance throughout her lifetime.
Lynn is survived by her husband (Parke Lewis, Jr.), her brother (Perry), her sister-in-law (Cindi), her four sons (Parke David, Paul, Guy and Matt), her four daughters-in-law (Maggi McKenzie, Denise Jones, Melissa McDonald and Shermaine Gary), her eight grandchildren (Lindsay Ann, Lindsey Marie, Emily, Lauren, Haiden, Finn, Addison and Mallory) and her three great grandchildren (Landon, Isla and Rhett).
Funeral ceremonies will be held at Saint Hilary’s Episcopal Church (corner of McGregor Blvd. and Colonial) on Friday, June 30th, 2023 at 11 a.m. Arrangements for Lynn's final care have been entrusted to Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555.
