Mae Georgopoulos' Obituary
Mae Georgopoulos, 94, of Lehigh Acres and Marco Island, FL, passed peacefully on September 3, 2015, with her loving daughters by her side. Mae was born October 9, 1920, in Nova Scotia, Canada, the daughter of Henry and Sadie (Muise) LeBlanc and beloved wife of the late Adam Georgopoulos. Mae was a restaurateur with her husband. She was a member of San Marco Catholic Church, participated in Bridge Club, Sunshine Group, and Lehigh Acres Senior Center. She especially loved to entertain at “Mae’s Caf??.” She leaves behind her children: Patricia Aslanis of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, George Tamasi and his wife Cris of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, Jeanette Bukuras and her husband Greg of Hingham, MA, Georgia Johnson and her husband Joseph of Lehigh Acres, FL; grandchildren: Anastasia, Peter, Michael, Linda, Rachel, Stephen, Joseph, and George, Jr. and many nieces and nephews. Preceding Mae in death are her parents; her husband; sisters, Myra Babine and Jeannette Union; and son-in-law, Gus Aslanis. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in memory of Mae Georgopoulos to American Lung Association in Florida, 6852 Belfort Oaks Place, Jacksonville, FL 32216.
