Maureen Cook
This was my aunt on my fathers side. i have very few memories of her but I do remember one big family picnic outside and a Lincoln head piggy bank she gave me. I am sorry I did not know her better. My mother isolated us from our fathers side of the family, but I know my dad and his siblings did not have an easy time growing up. And I do have memories of my father, her brother, speaking lovingly of her. Aunt Beadie was somewhat loud but she was direct and honest. My brother Stephen Cook has said to me – "you are the Aunt Beadie of this generation" like it is an insult but it is not. I am proud to be compared to you in strength and honesty, i apologize for my mother and may you rest in peace. Maureen
