Manuel Hernandez Santiago's Obituary
Manuel Hernandez Santiago, 90, a Ft. Myers, FL resident since 1975, formerly of Pontiac, MI passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2019. He was born in Utuado, Puerto Rico on August 4, 1928 to Eugenio and Rosa Hernandez, now deceased. Manuel retired from General Motors as a mechanic after many years of service. He loved fishing, gardening and playing dominos, but most of all he enjoyed the time he spent with his family. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Yvonne Rachel; granddaughter, Angela; sister, Bernadina; and brothers, Eugean and Angel. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Clover Santiago of Ft. Myers, FL; six children, Luis Santiago (Donna) of Tennessee, Michael Santiago (Janet (deceased)) of Adrian, MI, Manuel Santiago of Pontiac, MI, Maria Holt (Fred, Jr.) of Frederick, MD, Brenda Parker (Warrington) of Sedona, AZ and Dana Custodio of Ann Arbor, MI; 18 grandchildren, Luis, Tony, Tonya, Michael, Maria, Manuel Jr., Juan Fernando, Angelo, Jordan, Shawn Michael, Edward Joseph, Warrington Jr., Shanga, Monique, Kayla, Ralph Angel, Tony and Laura; seven brothers and sisters, Jesus, Isabel, Aurora, Guillermo, David, Mariano and Antonio; as well as many extended family members and friends. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, June 15, 2019 at Ft. Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Ft. Myers, FL 33907. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 12:30 PM until the service time at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
