I am beyond grateful to have met you Mrs. Godbout. Looking at all of the wonderful pictures of you and your family makes my heart swell with joy for all of you. I will always cherish our time together. I do miss our conversations. I have always enjoyed listening to your wonderful stories, you've made me laugh so much that I cannot think of you without smiling. We always had a laugh when in Florida to visit Uncle Joe & Aunt Marge . One stop we were going to Aurelio’s for some Chicago style pizza. I insisted my treat . Aunt Marge then took me aside & passed me a hundred dollar bill & instructed me to use that & give her my cash . She said the grocery store wouldn’t take them . I accused her of laundering money ! Turns out her bills were pre security threads & cashiers were not trusting them . We had a good laugh over Aunt Marge the counterfeiter!

Donna and Steve,
While my heart aches, I'm so grateful for the good times we were able to share together with Marge (and Joe) in Chicago and Houston. It was always a good time when they were involved! I always remember your mom smiling and happy when we were together (especially when your Dad was around :-)) Some of my most treasured memories are of the Godbout picnics with your Dad cooking steaks (he made the best!) and the Cubs t-shirt they sent from Spring Training Camp. Your mom wrote the sweetest note, and Nick has been a diehard fan ever since. Am sending lots of love, hugs and strength and will be there in spirit tomorrow.

So many memories in such a small amount of time I was able to spend with you. I think of our lunches and so many funny stories of you trying new foods and a drink! I think of walking the beach with you the day Liam was born and writing his name in the sand. Our voyage on the pirate ship. Your patience and grace when I would ask about your religion. Always respectful and so kind to others, and funny... oh how many times we would laugh! My dear aunt, Your wings were ready but my heart was not. I love you.
