I agree my mother and father were a inspiration in North Dakota. I hope you were grateful that you worked for them. I really feel they made a difference in North Dakota. They never wanted to give up what they built in healthcare in North Dakota, as you know

Dr. Margaret Morgan and her husband Dr. Riffat Morgan changed the practice and quality of medical care and medical education in North Dakota. They started the Heart and Lung Clinic, the first ICU, a nurse anesthesia training program, a respiratory therapy school, a cystic fibrosis center, and clinical outreach programs with onsite consultation and remote telemetry to support primary providers in rural settings in Central and Western North Dakota and North Central South Dakota. Their legacy is a vibrant center of excellence in cardiology, anesthesiology, pulmonary medicine, and allergic diseases. Their dedication to their patients and their high standards still resonate within the walls of CHI Saint Alexius Medical Center and the hearts of the communities they served. I had the privilege of assuming responsibility for Margaret's patients when she retired. She was deeply loved by her patients and respected by everyone whose life she touched. She and her husband Dr Riffat Morgan were builders, movers, and shakers who never settled for the status quo during their careers. My 12 years of doing purposeful and productive work with them seems in retrospect like it actually lasted a lot longer. My wife Beth and I are honored to have had the opportunity to work with, and learn from, Dr. Margaret Morgan.Dr. Jim and Beth Hughes
