Margaret Eileen Potts' Obituary
Margaret Eileen Potts of Fort Myers, FL passed away Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Gulf Coast Medical Center – Fort Myers. She was 85. She was born July 27, 1929 in Idaho, Ohio to the late Henry Shanks and Ruby Lauderbach Shanks. She was a loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother. Prior to moving to Florida, she worked as a seamstress at Wright Patterson Air Force Base – Dayton Ohio where she repaired parachutes, uniforms and the fabric for aircraft seat covers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Potts (2002) and a son, Miles Potts (2011). She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her sons, James Hockenberry (Heike) of Fort Myers and Stephen Potts (Liza) of Flint, MI; a sister, Grace Wilson of Hialeah, FL; 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family and she will be entombed in her mausoleum in Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery next to her husband, Harry.
