Margaret Ann Sirianni's Obituary
Margaret Ann Sirianni, 90, long time resident of Fort Myers, Florida passed away peacefully on March 30, 2026. She was born on January 25, 1936, in Beckley, West Virginia to Fred and Versa Hall Quintier. Where she lived her youth and graduated from Woodrow Wilson High (1953). She attended Crab Orchard Baptist Church. She is survived by her loving family; daughter, Stephanie & son, Sam Jr; one grandson, Frederick Boettjer (Jenifer); and two great grandsons, Sammy and Isaac Boettjer; her brother, John Quintier; and nieces and nephews, Johnny Quintier, Frankie Sirianni (Chrissy), Gina Griner (David), Sally Beckett, Meg Beckett (Todd), Jade Palmquist (Cody). Margaret was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Sam Sirianni; her sister, Lee Beckett; and infant brother, John D.
Margaret lived a rich & full personal and professional life. She attended college at Marshall University for 4 years earning an education degree and earned her master’s degree in counseling and administration. While at Marshall she was very active in student life as a majorette in the marching band, a member of Pi Kappa Sigma Sorority, student government and elected Ms. Marshall Homecoming Queen. Her greatest event at college was meeting the love of her life Sam "Sonny" Sirianni, her husband of 44 years. They came to Fort Myers in 1959 after graduating and were hired at Fort Myers High School where she taught for 25 years and started the girls’ golf team. As a counselor she brought many new programs to Fort Myers High School, she was elected for 2 terms to the Lee County School Board and was the Florida School Board President for a term. Margaret served on the FGCU Town and Gown Board, was a member of the Edison-Ford Board of Trustees, a member of the Edison Pageant of Light, Fort Myers Women's Club, a Fort Myers Booster member, volunteered at PACE was elected to the LCAC HOF and chosen in 2014 to be a Grand Dame. She shaped and advised thousands of students whom she remained close to well after high school.
In retirement she loved spending time with family attending Fort Myers High School events and was a staple in the end zone at all football games watching her late husband and son coach for 57 years. She loved traveling and staying at the beach. Margaret was a beloved mother, family member, and friend whose presence brought warmth and comfort to those around her.
Following a private family service at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens and entombment, the family will have a Celebration of Life at the Edison-Ford Winter Estates under the Pavilion on April 17th from 2-6pm. Yellow and green were her favorite colors if you want to wear something in memory of Margaret. Donations can be made to the Sam Sirianni Memorial Scholarship Foundation at the San-Cap Bank or the Edison-Ford Estates.
