Margaret Peggy Vecchiotti's Obituary
Peggy Ann Vecchiotti went peacefully to be with the Lord on April 15, 2015. She was born in Washington D.C. to Paul and Edna Jenkinson on September 17, 1928. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Vecchiotti, son, Paul Amason, and step-daughter, Valerie Vecchiotti. Peggy grew up in Arlington, VA and attended Columbia and Corcoran Schools of Arts. She eventually took up permanent residence in South Fort Myers, Florida with her family, after several moves up and down the East Coast. She loved working as an artist, gardening, decorating her home, and making frequent trips to the beach to snorkel, read books, and walk in the sand. She also enjoyed traveling to the mountains of North Carolina in the summer and fall. She is survived by her children, Guy Amason III (Jeryi), Linda Burgess (James), and David Amason (Bunny), her step children, FloAnn Rolleri (Donald), Deanna Corona (Joseph), and Lisa Schiano-Denis, her brother, Paul Jenkinson (Barbara), her sister, Pat Jones (Al), and sister-in-law, Joan Jenkinson. Peggy is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Her loving heart and kind spirit will be greatly missed. There will be a visitation from 1:30-2:00 p.m. and a funeral service celebrating her life at 2 p.m. Monday, April 20, 2015 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Chapel on Colonial Boulevard. Interment to follow.
