Marguerite M. Hassel of Fort Myers, Florida passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Saturday, September 15, 2018 following some recent health challenges. She was 80 years old.Marguerite was born on December 16, 1937 in Sharon, Pennsylvania, the beautiful daughter of Mildred (Barone) and Michael Palumbo. She leaves behind her loving husband Francis Hassel, daughter Beth Wallace, son Daniel Hobart; four grandsons Michael Hobart, Jonathan Hobart, MacKenzie Wallace, Cameron Wallace; great-granddaughter Madison Hobart; Zina Usubian, beloved caregiver; her dog, Junior, who was her constant companion; a number of extended family members and a great many people who were proud to call her a friend.A Memorial Mass for Marguerite will be celebrated at 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 6, 2018 inside the Sanctuary at Saint John XXIII Parish (Blessed Pope John XXIII), 13060 Palomino Lane, Fort Myers, FL 33912, (239) 561-2245.
