I was an "adopted" daughter into the Garcia Family by Mom and Dad at birth, They raised me till I was 9 yrs old, an was taken back by my birth mother. That was a sad day for me and I never really over came the loss of my "real family" But I lost touch after a while an life went on. However I've never forgotten my early life with "Mom an Dad". One memory, among many that stands out for me of Mom an Dad. Dad used to love for me to massage his head and play with his hair. I used to put little chongos (pony tails) on his head. He would go into a deep sleep when I did this. One day as I was doing this and he was asleep, my mom brought me her makeup to put on him because she thought it would be funny when he woke up and would look in the mirror. So we did. I had all the chongos all over his head too. Well we suddenly got a call that someones car had broken down and needed help quick. Dad got up grabbed his hat and ran out door and quickly and left. Well, my mom laughed so hard we thought she was going to pee her pants. Needless to say when Dad came home he wasn't exactly thrilled about it. I also remember Christmas too and Mom getting up very early to make Bunuelos (elephant ears). We were poor but they always saw that we had what we needed. Dads favorite saying to us was," We might be poor but we don't have to show it". There are so many good memories and i cherish them all. R.I.P Mom and Dad, you are together again and missed and loved. WITH LOVE, YOUR DAUGHTER LOLA.
