With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Maria Sierra Maldonado, a loving daughter, mother, and grandmother, on February 13, 2025, at the age of 68.
Maria was a true source of love, warmth, and joy to all who had the privilege of knowing her. She is survived by her father, Tony Echeviera, and her four children: Michael (Hayley Padilla), Carlos (Vanessa Short) Sandra (Dwight Cox) and Wanda (Jose Simmons) Maria also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Lily, Mikey, Lorenzo, Bebo, JJ, Jayson, Sierra, JoJo, Olivia, Dwight Jr., Xavier, Cion, Ivy, and LaReyna.
She cherished each and every one of them, taking great pride in the love and joy they brought to her life. Maria had a passion for beading and diamond art, which she enjoyed creating with patience and care. She was also an avid reader and found great comfort in the world of books. One of her greatest pleasures was playing bingo, a pastime that brought her much happiness and fun.
Maria’s love for her family was immeasurable, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all those who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered for the love and happiness she shared with those around her. May she rest in peace
