Marian M. Geiger's Obituary
Marian M. Geiger, 78, of Fort Myers, passed away Friday, June 12, 2015 following a brief illness. She was born August 9, 1936 in Mobile, AL and moved to Fort Myers from Gainesville in 1963. She was the Founding Executive Director of Visually Impaired Persons of SW Florida (VIP’s) for several years which later became Lighthouse of SW Florida. She was also a member of Citygate Ministries, attended the University of Alabama and Edison College, Kiwanis Club and SW Florida Symphony Chorus. Mrs. Geiger is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Ralph S. Geiger; her two sons: Ralph S. Geiger, Jr. and David L. Geiger, both of Fort Myers; her brother, Rev. James V. Miller of Mississippi and four grandchildren: Mitchell, Joshua, Allison and Madison. She was preceded in death by her brother, John P. Miller in 2005. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Thursday, June 18, 2015 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with burial to follow in Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
