Marie Moershall Clegg's Obituary
Marie Moershall Clegg of Fort Myers, Florida and formerly of Panama City, Florida, passed away peacefully in Hope Hospice after some recent health challenges. She was 91. Marie was born May 29, 1925 in Rantoul, Illinois to the late Raymond and Mary Martha Moershall. She was a native of Illinois and lived in Panama City for 44 years before moving to Fort Myers, Florida. She and her husband were the former owners/operators of the KOA Campground on Thomas Drive in Panama City, Florida. Marie was a loving wife, devoted mother of four sons and loving grandmother and great grandmother who will be dearly missed. In addition to her parents, Marie is preceded in death by her husband of 53+ years, William E. Clegg, II, a son, Thomas Edward Clegg and her brother and two sisters. She is survived by three sons, William Ewart Clegg, III, Charles Stephen Clegg and James Jeffrey Clegg. Marie is also the loving grandmother of 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Immediate funeral ceremonies will be private at the convenience of the family. She will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband in Panama City, Florida.
