I have loved Marielle for many years. The Love began with Dr. Magnant when I was an infant and he would make house calls and come and rock me with croop at night in 1959-60. From that time on I loved him. He even pierced my ears (and my moms ) even though I dont think he wanted to. Once he moved into his own practice we got to know Marielle. As I grew up and had kids I adored her. She always had a twinkle in her eye and was so much fun to chat with.

Marielle came to my mind this morning when we passed a place where she and George lived in Fort Myers and I said to my husband I need to find out how they are doing. I haven't talked to her since the big birthday party that we went to and so much has happened in the last year and I just lost the time. I couldn't really do anything about it because my husband is ill and he requires my care. I said to my husband we need to find out if Marielle & George are still living in that lovely house and what they were going to do about it. SoI went to my phone when we got home and then I found out that Marielle had passed and it's almost been a year and all I could do was just cry because I didn't know, I didn't know. Wee don't get the newspaper and we moved and just many things have happened in this last year. I want the family to know how much I loved her and how much she means to me. What a wonderful wonderful woman she was and still is. In my mind she's still very much alive and I just can't hold back my tears because she meant so much to me and I'm sorry I didn't know about this. I will contact the family more about it and tell them what I was thinking about.

Dr. Magnant, I just found out about Marielle's passing and wanted to send my condolences. I have fond memories of her ("Motherhood isn't for wimps!") from the days when you were my daughters' pediatrician in Alexandria. May you find comfort in your many memories of her. We all (especially my oldest daughter Megan and I) still think of you often and fondly.

I wanted to share photos of true love. Marielle and George at one of many celebrations over the the 17 years we had with them in fort Myers. The others are of she and her living caretakers, Joyce, mariette, Michele and Mimi. Of course there’s George in there stealing a goodnight kiss as he often did. And the awesome photo of Marielle with Gabrielle and I at a wedding in Celeste family in 2007! Mom I love you and know you are resting in His peace.
