Marilyn L. Gordon's Obituary
Marilyn L. Gordon of Fort Myers, Florida, passed away Thursday, August 25, 2016 in her home with her loving family by her side. She was 80. Marilyn was born August 11, 1936 in Colesburg, Iowa to the late Floyd and Mae Hunt. In addition to being an avid golfer, she was a beloved wife, devoted mother, loving grandmother and a dear sister. She will be sorely missed. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 51+ years, Kenneth S. Gordon, Jr. (2005), a sister, June Drake and a brother, Eugene Hodges. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her daughter, Gwendolyn Day; two sons, Kenneth Gordon and William Gordon; and her sister, Eleanor Ruden. She also leaves behind nine loving grandchildren and fifteen dear great grandchildren. A memorial visitation will be held from 10am – 11am with a memorial service at 11am, Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at the Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, FL 33907. In her honor, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society 4575 Via Royale, Fort Myers, FL 33919.
