Marjorie Colean McFadden's Obituary
Early Tuesday morning December 6, 2022 the Lord came for Marjorie as she was surrounded by family. A beloved wife, mother, sister and daughter she is now whole again in all ways. She is with Jesus.
Marge will be deeply missed by all those who survive her including her husband of 65 years, James McFadden, her two sons David McFadden (Cynthia) Kevin McFadden (Dianne), her daughter Julie Klein (Neal), five grandchildren and two great-grand daughters.
Marjorie was a fifth-generation Floridian. She was born and raised in Fort Pierce, Florida. She graduated Fort Pierce High School where she met her future husband. She attended Mary Baldwin College.
Marge married her high school sweetheart James, after he completed a tour of duty with the Army in the Korean War, but prior to earning his bachelors degree from the University of Florida. Upon graduation the newlyweds moved to Fort Myers. Marge worked for a time as a teller before committing to a full time career as a mother, something at which she excelled.
Marge volunteered at Lee Memorial Hospital, donated multiple gallons of blood, and contributed to countless local causes. She enjoyed giving back to her community. She loved dogs. She loved travel and boating. She loved her family. She truly loved Jesus.
Marjorie led an enormous life. She embraced new things at every opportunity. She always saw the positive in everything and every situation. She made many, many friends. She found true love that still endures. She raised children. She helped others. She was amazing and now she will be missed.
