Mark Farrell Lavigne's Obituary
Mark Farrell Lavigne, 41, of Cape Coral, FL passed away in a tragic work accident on Friday, November 15, 2019 in Aventura, FL. He was born August 9, 1978 in Greenville, ME.
Mark was employed as a power lineman for the last 20 years. He was a member of the IBEW local 222 and 1933. Mark had a passion for linework and a love of the line. He sacrificed many family moments in order to help others in need. He always told his children “Daddy has to go to work to get the lights back on.” Mark enjoyed sharing his knowledge and experience with younger lineman and was always there to lend a helping hand. He loved being apart of the lineman brotherhood.
Mark had a love for life and his family, especially for his children. He was a devoted husband and father who spent his time with his children teaching them about sports, how to cook, playing music, and simply loving them. He was a diehard Patriots fan who instilled a love of football in his son. He enjoyed going out on his boat with his family spending the day fishing with his son and playing in the sand with his daughter.
He is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 19 years, April Lavigne and two adored children, Ryan and Cadence who will always remember his smile, love, and laughter; his parents, Patrick and Marcia Lavigne who showed him how to hunt, play sports and love his family ; his younger brother, Paul Lavigne who shared childhood memories and enjoyed playing hockey and golf together; his father and mother-in-law, Anthony and Liz Ricigliano, his sister in law, Amy Ricigliano, and his nephew and niece, Garrett and Savannah Ricigliano who he shared and enjoyed many adventures and memories. who enjoyed many adventures and memories; as well as many extended family members and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on March 1st to honor Mark’s memory in a way he would have loved, spending time by the water fishing and being with family and friends. Please join us at the Sanibel Causeway at 3:00 PM for a short service and a day of fishing and fun. Another Celebration of Life will be held in Maine in the summer. Thank you for the many contributions and thoughts that everyone has contributed and expressed. He will live in our hearts forever!
