Marlene Glovich's Obituary
Marlene Glovich, 82, a resident of Fort Myers, FL since 1992, formerly of Queens, NY passed away Sunday, October 17, 2021 in Fort Myers, FL. She was born December 1, 1938 in New York City, NY to the late Reuben and Dorothy Katz.
Marlene was known for her love of life, sense of humor, and kindness to all who knew her. Marlene loved to play Mah Jongg and Rubby cube. She loved to read mystery books, travel – especially cruises. She really enjoyed cooking and sharing her meals with friends and family. Marlene had a beautiful voice and loved to sing; and volunteered with her husband at hospice for 14 years. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Harold Gabe.
Marlene is survived by her loving husband of 16 years, Donald Glovich of Fort Myers, FL; three children, Ava and her husband Irv Jackier of South River, NJ, Lisa and her husband Matthew Casey of Atlanta, GA and Cory and his wife Jennifer Gabe of Long Island, NY; one brother, Morty Katz of Delray Beach, FL; five grandsons, Sean, Michael, Bryan, Aaron and Ethan; as well as her very first great granddaughter, Matilda Sunshine due in three weeks.
A Funeral Service will be celebrated 1:00 PM, Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33907 with Rabbi Diamond as the officiant.
