Marlene M Wise's Obituary
Marlene M. Wise, 84, a North Fort Myers, FL, resident since 1973, formerly of Fairborn, Ohio passed away with her loving family by her side on Wednesday, April 8, 2020 in the comfort of her own home. She was born June 24, 1935 in Wapakoneta, Ohio.
Marlene retired from Suntrust bank in 1990, and later retired from Southwest Florida Auto Auction. She filled her retirement days volunteering with Hope Chest and travel. When she wasn’t busy traveling with her husband, Marlene loved to bake, often teaching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren her family recipes, and read novels and poetry from local authors. She had a great appreciation for the arts and a love for musicals. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Dorthey Greve and Helen Richey as well as her granddaughter, Ashely Vickery.
Marlene is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, James Wise of North Fort Myers, FL; one son, Joseph Wise and wife Wanda of North Fort Myers, FL; three granddaughters, Sabrina and her husband Nathan, Christie and Elissha and her husband James; nine great grandchildren, Maddalyn, Ryan, Taylor, Andrew, Logan, Liam, Brady, Brandon and Rebecca; as well as one great great granddaughter, Summer.
There will be a private graveside service for Marlene Wise at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery. A Memorial Celebration will be held in the future.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fort Myers Memoral Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, FL 33907.
