Martha Huffstickler Earp's Obituary
Martha Huffstickler Earp, age 93, passed away on November 4, 2018 in Tampa, Florida after a 5-year struggle with Alzheimer’s. She was born on June 6, 1925 in El Paso, Texas, but was a military brat so moved around a lot, settling in Ft. Myers in the 1940’s. She was the proud owner of The Purple Place Antiques for 30 years and displayed her beautiful glass at shows all over the state.Martha was preceded in death by her father, Clyde Huffstickler (a survivor of the Bataan Death March); mother, Pearl Huffstickler; brothers Albert and Jack Huffstickler; husband, Harold and son, Rusty.She is survived by her daughter, Lynne Fillmon (Dennis) and Mark Earp (Molly), grandchildren Heather (James), Haley (Grant), Austin (Tiffany), Erin (Justin), and Justin; and great grandchildren (Aedyn, Riley, Kymani, Kartel, Asher, Kairo, and one on the way). The family will hold a private graveside service at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens.In remembrance of Martha, please spend time with someone you know who has Alzheimer’s. They won’t remember your visit, but it will still mean the world to them.
