Mary Carey's Obituary
Mary Lou Carey passed away peacefully at her home on October 22, 2010.?á She is predeceased by her loving husband James P of 43 years, her sister Anna Mae Ryan and brother Art Anderson. ?áDaughter of the late James and Neva Pearl Anderson, she was born on October 8,1928 in Rew Pennsylvania.?á She is survived by her children, Mary Ann and Richard Lewis, Pattie Williams of Cape Coral,Fl. ?áJames and Terry Carey of Johnson City, NY, and Charles and Joelene Carey of Endicott NY.?á Eleven grandchildren, Kim, Mandy, Erin, Nicole, Samantha, Mathew, Heather, ?áChristopher, Jessica, Colleen, and Sean, eleven great grandchildren, Rachel, Justin, Morgan, Hunter, Sara, Joshua, Jennifer, Bailey, Kevin, Michela, and Mia.?á?á She is survived by two sisters Lucille Hoxsie, Sarah Taubel, and one brother ?áRonald Anderson. ?áMary Lou touched many lives with her warm and caring nature, she was a dedicated employee of Cape Coral Hospital for 21 years, and retired in July, 2010.?á She was formerly employed by Broome County for many years, as well as Endicott Johnson, and Bausch & Lomb. Mary Lou and James moved to Florida in 1983, they were avid travelers and campers and enjoyed many excursions, and cruises ?áwith family and friends.?á They spent many wonderful hours with their grandchildren and great children.?á She was a member of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church, and a member of the Women?ÇÖs Auxiliary of the Moose. ?á ?á Those she has met have been blessed with knowing her, she has touched many lives, and found good in all.?á Many (young & old) have said they wanted to be like her when they grow up.?á She lived everyday of her life with a smile on her face and love in her heart.?á She has left many good examples for us to carry on and will be missed by all. ?á Mom we will always love you. ?á A celebration of her life will be held at 1:00 PM, on Monday October 25, 2010 at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church,?á?á 12175 Stringfellow Rd, Bokeelia, Fl, 33922.?á Please come and join in the celebration of Mary?ÇÖs life.?á In lieu of flowers, please send contributions in Mary?ÇÖs name to Hope Hospice, 2430 Diplomat Parkway, Cape Coral, Fl, 33909.
