Mary Joanne Cooksey's Obituary
Mary Joanne Cooksey, 85, of Fort Myers, passed away Saturday, November 2, 2019. She was born March 30, 1934 in Fort Meade, FL to Bethel and Lora Rebecca (Futch) Smith.Following a 30 year career at First Federal Bank, she volunteered for the Edison Home for several years. She is survived by her children: Deborah Ann Cooksey (Dan Riley) of Bellaire, TX and Michael Cooksey (Jerry Carlson) of Gainesville; her siblings: Myra Waldee of Fort Myers and Sharon Smith of Fort Meade. Also surviving are her grandchildren: Blair S. Zweig and Max Forster of Houston, TX.A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at Broadway Community Church, 3309 Broadway, Fort Myers, FL 33901.Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33907, 239-936-0555.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hope Hospice at: www.hopehospice.org.
