Mary Jane Doyle's Obituary
Mary Jane Weber Muzik Doyle of Fort Myers, died on November 17, 2016 from complications of Pancreatic Cancer.Born in Chicago (Sauganash), Illinois. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, William G. Weber and Rose Smith Weber, brothers, Michael B. Weber, William G. Weber and Lawrence J. Weber.She is survived by her children, Melody Muzik-Henson, E. Jay Muzik, Margie Muzik-Curtis and many cousins, grandnieces and grandnephews.Mary Jane was a loving mother who shared her generosity with many friends and extended families. She made everyone she encountered feel welcome and loved. Mary Jane’s very active life included social events, American Legion, The Eagles, Moose, many charities, golfing and helping others. Mary Jane had a tremendous passion for cooking, creating beautiful artistic meals with perfect decorative table settings that made every meal an artwork sensation. Her joy of learning and trying new recipes is recognized by her never ending volumes of cook books and cooking gadgets.She had an amazing smile that was contagious and would light up the room. Mary Jane’s deep devotion to helping others and Catholic faith helped her overcome many difficult times and obstacles throughout her life. She was truly incredible.Mary Jane attended the American Academy of Art Chicago, Ringling College of Art Design, Sarasota, FL, The Illinois Institute of Art Chicago, and Popes Academy of Cooking. Mary Jane’s career in design began in the Chicago theater district where she worked as a make-up artist. Her journey and love for Design Fashion continued to include starting her own cosmetic line at her mother’s Beauty Salon (Sauganash, IL). During this time, Mary Jane was doing fashion Modeling and Dress Design work for top clothing companies. Her vast experience in design lead on to her becoming the youngest design buyer from New York to Chicago. She became one of the first female entrepreneurs to open a Designing Retail store in Chicago (Michigan Ave.) creating and selling hand painted neckties. This was one of her fondest benchmarks. Mary Jane had a special knack for teaching so she shared her expertise in the field of Art at Main Township High School in Park Ridge, IL for several years.After many years in Chicago, Mary Jane opened her own art studio (The Designer’s) in Warrenville, IL, where she trained artists, taught classes and sold retail art supplies for the next 25 years. She was extraordinarily gifted in the field of art and design. Mary Jane became known as one of the best color experts who had the ability to use any medium in art creation. Mary Jane took her art knowledge and talents to Fort Myers, FL in 1995 where she trained students in the field of airbrushing and color impression. This area of art became her most favorite. She spent much time as a private contractor designing custom art work and the use of her expertise.She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made to the Moffitt Cancer Center; memo line to include Pancreatic Cancer Research.
