Mary Ellen McBride's Obituary
Mary Ellen McBride, 71, a 28-year resident of Lehigh Acres, FL, formerly of Overland Park, KS passed away Monday, February 28, 2022 under the care of Hope Hospice. She was born June 24, 1950 in Ville Platte, LA to the late Howard and Bernadine Melancon.
Mary was a proud Cajun from Lafayette, LA. She was a Licensed Clinical Psychiatric Social Worker for 25 years until her retirement. Mary was a gentle, kind and loving person who just loved to laugh and to make people laugh. She will be missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Connie McBride of Independence, MO.
Mary is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Chris McBride of Lehigh Acres, FL; three brothers, Bill Melancon (Terry) of Lafayette, LA, Charles Melancon (Alice) of Woodlands, TX and Jim Melancon (Becky) of Katy, TX; two sisters-in-law, Patty Shrader (Michael) of Round Rock, TX and Penny McBride of Round Rock, TX; two dear friends, Claudia Gallion of Griffin, GA and Marla Herron of Overland Park, KS; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends.
A Graveside Service will be held 12:30 PM, Saturday, March 12, 2022 at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in the Sylvan Oaks Estates.
