Mary Johanna Peters' Obituary
Mary Johanna Peters, 86, of Fort Myers Beach, passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at Joanne’s House following an extended illness. She was born April 13, 1929 in Detroit, MI and moved to Florida in 2000 from Michigan. She was a member of the Church of the Ascension on Fort Myers Beach. Mrs. Peters is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Henry F. Peters, Jr.; her three daughters: Janet Kandel of Washington, D.C., Janice Gillies (Phil) of Weston, FL and Carol Peters of Estero, FL; her grandchildren: Lauren, Max, Kara and Ross; her great grandchildren: Talia and Mason and her siblings: Genevieve George of California, Joann Doyle of Michigan and Beatrice Smilnak of Michigan. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday, September 18, 2015 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with entombment to follow in Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Friends will be received from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
