Mary Inez Whatley Henley, 85 a resident of Alva, FL since 1953, formerly of Thomasville, GA passed away Saturday, April 6, 2019 in Cape Coral, FL. She was born March 16, 1934 in Van Buren, Arkansas to Joseph and Maggie Matlock, now deceased.Mary was a member of The First Baptist Church of Alva. She was a telephone operator for 40+ years and was an avid sewer. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, James Whatley and Joe Henley; as well as four children, Mary Belle Crell, Louise Presley, Pat O’Neal and Milton Whatley.Mary is survived by her loving children, Dwayne Boutwell (Patty) of Lehigh Acres, FL, Don Whatley (Sylvia) of Texas and Betty Farrar of Okeechobee, FL; one sister, Betty Brant of Lehigh Acres; 23 grandchildren; many many adored great grandchildren; as well as nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.A Funeral Service will be celebrated 11:00 AM, Friday, April 12, 2019 at Ft. Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Ft. Myers, FL. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 10:00 AM up until the service time at the funeral home.
