Mary Virginia Wilson's Obituary
Mary Virginia Wilson of Fort Myers, Florida and formerly of Monroeville, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully Friday, February 5, 2016 in her home with her loving family by her side. She was 96. Mary was born June 5, 1919 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to the late Stanley and Harriett Stafford. Mary lived in Monroeville, Pennsylvania where she raised her family before moving to Fort Myers in the early 1970’s. She was a beloved wife, devoted mother, loving grandmother and great-grandmother. In addition, she was a loving child care provider to countless children through the years. She will be sorely missed by many. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Archie R. Cook (1958); husband, Richard M. Wilson (2012); brothers, Stanley Stafford and Donald Stafford and her sisters, Jane Summers and Leone Herbert. Mary is survived by her sons, Archie J. (Seiko) Cook and Terry J. (Pam) Cook; six grandchildren, Rodney Cook, Todd (Mary) Cook, Kevin Cook, Heather Anne (Thomas) Sattler and Ryan Cook. She is also survived by her great grandchildren, Tom Tom Sattler, Dede Sattler, Christopher Cook, Noah Cook and Jacob Cook. A visitation will be held from 5pm – 7pm Monday, February 8, 2016 in the chapel of Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907. Cryptside services will be held 1:00pm, Tuesday, February 9, 2016 in the Garden of Peace Mausoleum of Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Mary will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband, Richard. Memorial contributions in her honor are suggested to Hope Hospice 9470 HealthPark Circle, Fort Myers, Florida 33908.
