Mary Wood's Obituary
Mary Wood, 86, of North Fort Myers, FL, passed away Sunday, July 27, 2014 at Lee Memorial – Cape Coral Hospital. She was born November 9, 1927 to the late Gilbert Torres and Marie Nunez. Before coming to Fort Myers, she worked for Hughes Aircraft in Michigan. Mary also worked in a variety of occupations throughout her lifetime. She worked as a floral designer with several florists in Southwest Florida, a beautician owning and operating her own beauty salon and multiple works as an artist. Most recently, however, she worked as a property manager of several rental properties and apartment buildings. Mary is survived by her husband, Darrel Wood; her daughter, Lisa Lines of North Fort Myers; a son, Dan Lines of Tampa; and 2 brothers, Oscar and Armand Nunez, both of Michigan. A memorial service will be held 12:30 p.m., Sunday, August 3, 2014 at Sanctuary Community Church of God, 16581 McGregor Blvd. Fort Myers, FL 33908. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church. Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home is serving the family.
