Maureen Brown's Obituary
Maureen Brown, 88, of North Ft. Myers, passed peacefully with her family by her side on September 16, 2023. Maureen was born April 27, 1935, to Thomas and Ethel Geraghty in Salford England.
Maureen and her husband Willard met while he was stationed in England with the USAF. This was the start of a 70 year commitment. Maureen was a devoted mother and home maker. As her children got older Maureen joined the work force as a pharmacists assistant and later as bookkeeper for a national hotel chain. Maureen enjoyed cooking/baking for her family, especially around the holidays. Her entertainment included shopping and boating. Maureen also enjoyed a leisure glass of wine.
Maureen is preceded in passing by her parents Thomas and Ethel Geraghty and daughter Diane (Brown) Mills
Maureen leaves her loving memory with survivors husband Willard, their children Gary (Terri), Aurora, CO, Wayne, N Fort Myers and Paul (Celia) Davie FL and their 6 grandchildren Jennifer, Eric, Theresa, Lauren, Ashley and Morgan. Niece Carol (Brown) Meister. Brother Albert (Norma) Geraghty, Salford England and her three nephews Philip, Stephen and Anthony.
Maureen’s family has entrusted Fort Myers Memorial Gardens with the tender care of her final arrangements. A grave side service will be held on October 23, 2023 at 1pm.
