Melba Thompson Ewing's Obituary
Melba Thompson Ewing of Fort Myers, Florida and formerly of Atlanta, Georgia, passed away peacefully Thursday, September 7, 2017 in Hope Hospice at Shellpoint. She was 85.Melba was born April 2, 1932 in Miami, Florida; the beautiful daughter of the late Lucius and Marcia Thompson. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her loving husband of 61+ years, Edwin Hubbard Ewing (July 4, 2016). Melba is survived by her four children, Wylie Ewing, Craig Ewing, Susan Forde and Christopher Ewing; five grandchildren, Stuart Elizabeth Ewing, Edwin Wylie Ewing, Graham Forde, Katherine Forde Wilson and Daniel Forde. She is also the great grandmother of Everleigh Jude Forde, Emerson Forde and Ean Forde.Immediate funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. The Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
